The 2021 NBA Draft scheduled to take place in late July is getting closer and the early entries list is slowly getting completed with many European talents showing up on it.
Some of the more notable names that most recently entered include Yoan Makoundou, Tarik Biberovic, Nikos Chougaz, Ariel Hukporti, and Uros Trifunovic.
ESPN’s Jonathan Givony also informed about the applications of Hugo Besson, Juhann Begarin, Kenny Baptiste, Gregor Glas, Mert Akay, Bojan Tomasevic, Vrenz Bleijenbergh, and Tom Digbeu.
Makoundou has perhaps been one of the most anticipated entries for a while due to his athleticism and a great season he had with Cholet in the French league as well as the Basketball Champions League this past year has further confirmed that.
Chougaz has been one of Greece’s biggest prospects and is coming off a great season as well, averaging 10.7 points on 41% from the three-point territory with Ionikos.
German center Hukporti was also impressive in the Lithuanian League with 10.4 points and 7.4 rebounds while Biberovic and Trifunovic got their chances on the rosters of big clubs such as Fenerbahce and partisan respectively where they showed solid contribution with a couple of breakout performances to go with it.
