For the first time in his career and after 14 postseason appearances LeBron James is eliminated in the first-round series of the NBA playoffs.

Devin Booker had a spectacular night of a season-high 47 points plus 11 rebounds as the Phoenix Suns beat defending champions Los Angeles Lakers 113 – 100 in Game 6 to win the series 4-2 advance to the next round of Western Conference for the first time after eleven years.

The Lakers struggled against the Suns lost Anthony Davis (groin) five minutes into the game. Booker went off with 22 points in the first period as Phoenix got a 36 – 14 lead and then went up even by 29.

Despite Davis’ absence, LeBron (29 points, nine rebounds, seven assists) and the Lakers tried to come back and cut the deficit to 10 halfway through the fourth period. But the Suns weren’t about to give up their advantage completely and held on to get the win and qualification.

Dennis Schroder produced 20 points while Marc Gasol went scoreless with seven assists in 18 minutes.

Jay Crowder had 18 point plus eight rebounds for the Suns.
