Khris Middleton scored 20 of his 38 points in the fourth quarter, Giannis Antetokounmpo added 33 points and the Milwaukee Bucks got the 113-102 win in Atlanta in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference finals.
Middleton also had 11 rebounds and dished seven assists, while Giannis also got 11 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one block. Per Stats Muse Antetokounmpo become just the fifth player after Shaquille O’Neal, Hakeem Olajuwon, Wilt Chamberlain, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar who registered at least nine games in one postseason with 30+ points and 10+ rebounds.
However, Middleton stole the show from the Greek Freak in what was his best yet playoffs performance. “Finally the shots started dropping for me in the right time”, Middleton said after tying his playoffs career-high and outscoring the Hawks 20-17 in the fourth quarter.
Trae Young scored 35 points, but hurt his ankle at the end of the third quarter and couldn’t save the day for the Hawks in the end.
Italian forward Danilo Gallinari added 18 points for the losing side, while Serb sharpshooter Bogdan Bogdanovic despite his knee issues stayed on the court for 35 minutes, but scored just eight points.
Swiss big man Clint Capela tried his best against Giannis and finished the game with 8 points and 11 rebounds.
