Nate McMillan will stay as head coach of the Atlanta Hawks, club president and general manager Travis Schlenk said in a media conference per multiple reports. According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, McMillan is signing a four-year deal.
McMillan, who initially joined the team as an interim coach, led Atlanta to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time since 2015 and second ever in the history of the franchise. The team finished the regular season with a 41 – 31 record to claim fifth place in the East.
