The Philadelphia 76ers are moving towards trading Ben Simmons. According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, the Sixers have been having talks with other teams for a potential swap that will lead the Australian player out of Philly.
Simmons was rumored be on the chopping block after the season ended for the Sixers at the hands of the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference semifinals. Atlanta eliminated Philadelphia 4-3 with Simmons averaging 9.9 points, 8.6 assists and 6.3 rebounds in the series.
He was criticized for his performances, free-throw shooting (he had 32.7 percent in the series) and particularly for the lack of taking an offensive initiative.
