The Bucks played with fire, letting the Suns make it a one-point game (120-119) after a 12-3 run. However, Jrue Holiday stoled the ball from the hands of Devin Booker, Giannis Antetokounmpo dunked it in transition and despite missing his extra free throw, he tipped the ball to Khris Middelton who made one out of two and sealed the 123-119 Game 5 win of Milwaukee in the NBA Finals.
The Bucks are now just one win away from the NBA title and that sequence demonstrates how they won Game 5 on the road, with all the three stars of the team delivering. The Greek Freak finished the game with 32 points, nine rebounds, and six assists, Middleton had 29 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and some big shots down the stretch, while Holiday had his best game yet in the Finals with the biggest play of the game, 27 points, and 13 assists.
Devin Booker had one more big night with 40 points, the Suns started the game furiously, leading 37-21 after the first quarter, but the Bucks tamed the storm. They made just four turnovers in the next three quarters and shot 57,5% from the floor.
Even if the closing minutes the Suns made their comeback, they couldn’t get over the hump. Chris Paul added 21 points and 11 assists for Phoenix, while DeAndre Ayton also had a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds.
Bucks’ Thanasis Antetokounmpo has entered health and safety protocols and missed the game.
The series returns to Milwaukee with the Bucks having the chance to win the NBA title at home in Game 6.
