Cleveland Cavalier’s General Manager, David Griffin, officially announced today that center Sasha Kaun signed a contract with Lebron James’ team.
The Russian player joins the Cavaliers after six years in CSKA Moscow where he played in 142 games, averaging 7.6 points and 3.6 rebounds in 17.9 minutes per game.
Kaun will cooperate again with the Cavs’ head coach David Blatt, after the 2012 Olympic Games, where they won the bronze medal with the Russian National Team.
The five-time Russian League champion (2009-2013) was originally the 56th overall pick of the 2008 NBA Draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder and had his rights traded to the Cavs on draft night.
Per league and team policy, terms of the contract were not released.
