The Toronto Raptors have extended qualifying offers to Nando de Colo and Gary Trent Jr., making them restricted free agents for the upcoming 2021-22 season. The Raptors will now be able to keep the right to meet the offers from other NBA teams for these two players.
Trent Jr., who was selected by the Sacramento Kings in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft, played 58 games with the Raptors in the 2020-21 season, averaging 15.3 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists.
De Colo, 34, has played in 21 games with the Raptors during the 2013-14 season, averaging 3.1 points, 1.6 assists, 1.3 rebounds and 9.2 minutes. Since, he has left Toronto, spending five seasons with CSKA Moscow, during which he was named EuroLeague champion twice. In summer of 2019, he joined Fenerbahce and has been one of the team’s pillars in those past two seasons, with an average of 15.8 points, 3.9 assists and 3.2 rebounds across 32 EuroLeague games last season.
