Mike D’Antoni is stepping down as an assistant coach on the Brooklyn Nets, the club announced Per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, D’Antoni will be pursing a head coach job.
D’Antoni joined Steve Nash’s staff in the latter’s debut season as head coach of the Nets. He was coming off a four-year stint with the Houston Rockets that lasted from 2016 to 2020.
Now D’Antoni will be aiming to once again return to head coach position. He holds a 672 – 527 record over 1,199 games with the Denver Nuggets, Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers and the Houston Rockets.
