Free agent Evan Fournier has agreed to a four-year deal that could be worth as much as $78M with the New York Knicks, per Adrian Wojnarowski,
Just hours before the Olympic games quarterfinals, an unfortunate timing as Fournier himself said, the French guard decided to leave Boston for New York.
After two seasons in Denver, Fournier moved in 2014 to Orlando and stayed there until 2021 emerging as a solid starter.
He was traded to Boston on March, with Orlando entering into rebuilding mode.
Last season he averaged 19.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.0 steals, while shooting 38.8% from three-point range with the Magic in 26 games. In 16 games with Boston he dropped to 13 ppg coming off the bench.
Meanwhile, Derrick Rose has agreed to a three-year, $43 million deal to return to the New York Knicks.
