Stephen Curry has agreed with the Golden State Warriors for a contract extension, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. The deal extends his current contract by four years for $215M to a total of $261M over the next five years.
Curry, 33, the cornerstone of the franchise, has captured three NBA championships in 2015, 2017, and 2018. However, the Warriors while battling injuries to key players, including Curry in 2019-20, have missed the playoffs in 2020 and 2021.
With his contract extended well into the later years of his successful career, the former Davidson standout will be looking to guide his team back into title contention next season.
