Serbian big Nikola Milutinov will be traded from the San Antonio Spurs to the Brooklyn Nets, reports Fred Katz of The Athletic.
Milutinov, 26, was picked 26th overall by the Spurs in the 2015 NBA draft. His NBA rights are on the move for the first time, as part of a five-team deal sending Russell Westbrook to the Los Angeles Lakers and Spencer Dinwiddie to the Washington Wizards.
Dinwiddie, 28, is heading to the Wizards on a sign-and-trade deal corresponding to a three-year $62M contract, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. The Westbrook deal was already reported but has since been expanded to a five-team trade with more transactions, including several draft picks.
Back to Milutinov, he is gearing up for a second season at CSKA Moscow aiming to bounce back after the shoulder injury cutting short his 2020-21 campaign. It remains unclear whether he will actually play in the NBA. Also worth noting, his current contract running through the 2022-23 season does not include an NBA out.
