Toronto Raptors president Masai Ujiri will be having an upgraded role on the team as “vice chairman and president,” according to ESPN. Ujiri’s new deal is reported as “significant”
Ujiri was named the Raptors‘ general manager in 2013 after three years of holding that position with on the Denver Nuggets. He was promoted to president of the franchise in 2016, after the Raptors made the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time ever.
In 2019 and under his leadership, the Raptors won their first NBA championship title.
