Dennis Schroder remaining on the free-agent board has been met by the interest of the Boston Celtics. Talks are ongoing, as reported by Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.
Schroder, 27, is a free agent. The Celtics don’t have the salary-cap space to match his 2020-21 salary of $16M based on pending moves. Another option is to bring him in on a sign-and-trade deal with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The German point guard spent the last season at the Lakers averaging 15.3 points, 5.8 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per appearance.
He previously went through a couple of seasons at the Oklahoma City Thunder and four at the Atlanta Hawks. His NBA games played total reached 609 as the Lakers were eliminated by the Phoenix Suns in the 2021 Playoffs.
