The Miami Heat are keeping guard/forward Jimmy Butler with a new four-year, $184M max contract extension, as it was reported by ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The five-time All-Star will hold a player option for $37.6 millions in the 2022-23 season, per the report.
Butler, 31, first landed in Miami two years ago through a sign-and-trade with the Philadelphia 76ers. He finished the 2020-21 season with an average of 21.5 points, 7.1 assists and 6.9 rebounds across 52 games and led the league in steals (2.08 per game).
Throughout his 10-year career in the NBA (Bulls, Timberwolves, Sixers), Butler has averages of 17.4 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.0 assists.
