Luka Doncic inking a supermax contract extension with the Dallas Mavericks is even closer to becoming a reality. Team special advisor Dirk Nowitzki along with owner Mark Cuban, head coach Jason Kidd, GM Nico Harrison, and assistant GM Michael Finley made the trip to Slovenia landing at capital Ljubljana on Monday.
According to the Dallas Morning News, the two sides have already a deal and on Tuesday an official announcement will be made and a press conference will be held.

Doncic, 22, is expected to be presented with the five-year contract extension offer and sign securing $207 million. The finishing touches will be done in Slovenia, as previously reported.
Dallas had pushed back the competition of the deal as the franchise star focused on leading Slovenia in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament and from there in the Olympic Games as well. His national team ranked fourth in Tokyo, while Doncic himself was named on the best five of the tournament.
