After signing Kevin Durant to a four-year maximum salary contract extension, the Brooklyn Nets look to keep Kyrie Irving and James Harden on board with long-term contract extensions next.

According to a report by ESPN’s Malika Andrews, Nets GM Sean Marks said that the franchise is currently in talks with both players, while he is “confident” that all “Big 3” will be under contract before the training camp begins.

Irving, 29, finished his second season with the Nets with an average of 26.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, 6 assists in 34.9 minutes across 54 games. Harden, 31, arrived in Brooklyn mid-season from the Houston Rockets and put up 24.6 points, 10.9 assists and 8.5 rebounds in 36 minutes across 36 games, as the Nets made it through the Eastern Conference semifinals.

Marks further commented on the physical condition of both players, stating that Harden has “devoted himself to rehabbing this summer and getting back in shape”, while he’s not concerned about Irving either, after his ankle sprain in Game 4 vs. Milwaukee, per The Athletic’s Alex Schiffer.
