Young Montenegrin basketball player Marko Simonovic, who has been playing for Mega Basket on loan as a Cedevita Olimpija basketball player since 2019, has signed a contract with the Chicago Bulls, who selected him as the 44th pick in the NBA in 2020.
Marko Simonovic came to Ljubljana before the start of the 2018/19 competition season. He spent the opening weeks of the season in Roseta, Italy, and then moved to the Slovenian capital.
During last season, Simonovic played in 24 games for Mega in the ABA League, and spent an average of 31.2 minutes on the floor. He scored 15.8 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists.
In Chicago, Simonovic will join the best modern Montenegrin player, All-Star center Nikola Vucevic.
