Canadian point guard Kevin Pangos had an renewal offer from Zenit St. Petersburg, was on Barcelona’s coach Sarunas Jasikevicius’ whish list and also attracted the interest of CSKA Moscow.
At the end, he had his way and he got his first NBA deal. As Bobby Marks of ESPN reported Cleveland has agreed to a two-year $3.5M contract with Pangos.
Pangos, 28, was rolling a member of Zenit through the 2020-21 season. He logged 13.5 points, 6.6 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 0.7 steals per Turkish Airlines EuroLeague match helping his side clinch a playoffs berth. He also posted 12.5 points per VTB United League game.
Zenit was his fourth European team for the former Gonzaga player after FC Barcelona, Zalgiris, and Gran Canaria.
