Gabriel Deck has been facing uncertainty at the Oklahoma City Thunder per earlier offseason reports that mentioned he was considering a return to Europe, though the Argentinian forward went up to clear up the air on the franchise’s media day.
“The rumors are not true. My plan was always to stay with the Thunder“, commented 26-year-old Deck, as adapted by OklahomanSports’ Joe Mussatto.
Deck, who came to the Thunder at the end of the 2020-21 season, only played 10 games with the team. “The truth is that I was very happy. I arrived in the last stage … happy with my teammates, with the team and with the work done. I hope to keep working and keep improving”, Deck told reporters.
Despite being his first experience in the NBA, Deck faced no issues adapting and contributing from the very beginning. “I believe that is because of my teammates and the entire team, who received me in the best way and immediately inserted me into the group, the trust is due to them and I am very grateful.”
