The Milwaukee Bucks are bringing in their former power forward/center Johnny O’Bryant with a training camp deal, as reported by The Athletic’s Shams Charania.
O’Bryant, 28, finished the 2020-21 season with Turk Telekom and will compete for a roster spot on his former team. He was selected by the Bucks in the second round of the 2014 NBA draft and has spent two of his four NBA seasons with the franchise.
O’Bryant made the leap to Europe after spending the 2017-18 season with the Charlotte Hornets and joined Maccabi Tel Aviv, with which he was named Israeli League champion in 2019.
Following his stint in Israel, the big man moved to Lokomotiv Kuban in 2019 and joined Crvena Zvezda the following season. His last stop was with Turk Telekom in the Turkish League and Basketball Champions League, with which he averaged 9.2 points, 5.1 rebounds across 15 games.
