Kevin Knox saw decreased minutes under Tom Thibodeau and there’s even a slim chance that he might not be among the 15 players for the upcoming season.
One of the guys that are competing for that final roster spot on the New York Knicks has been Luca Vildoza, according to Marc Berman of the NY Post. However, the Argentinian sharpshooter developed an ankle injury during the Summer League and it hinders him from playing.
That factor could end up being crucial in the race and Knox would stay safe. On the other hand, Knox had issues with COVID and missed all six Summer League games. Meanwhile, Vildoza logged two games with a limited playing time of around four and eight minutes.
Prior to joining the Knicks, Vildoza averaged 10.3 points, 3.5 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.6 steals per match over 32 appearances with Baskonia in his fourth EuroLeague campaign.
Knox averaged 3.9 points in 11 minutes for the Knicks over 42 games last season. Both players shot 39% from deep during the 2020-21 campaign, albeit in different competitions.
