The NBA pre-season is in full swing with more teams tipping off their preparations on Monday evening.
Toronto Raptors newcomer Svi Mykhailiuk produced 13 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds coming from the bench to help the Raptors cruise to a 123-107 win against the Sixers at home. On the opposing end, Furkan Korkmaz also had 13 points for the Sixers in 19 minutes on the court.
Jusuf Nurkic greeted the preseason with a double-double of 15 points, 10 rebounds along with 4 assists against the Golden State Warriors, though his efforts weren’t enough for the Trail Blazers and the Warriors escaped Portland with a 121-107 victory.
Tyler Herro and the Miami Heat began the pre-season with a 125-99 win over the Atlanta Hawks. Herro finished the game with 26 points to lead all scorers of the game, while Hawks‘ Bogdan Bogdanovic had 10 points and 4 steals in 23 minutes.
Aleksej Pokusevski posted is headed to his sophomore year with the Thunder and posted 11 points, 4 rebounds in 22 minutes, although the hosts fell short to the Hornets 113-97.
The Denver Nuggets headed to Los Angeles without reigning MVP Nikola Jokic and fell short as the Clippers grabbed a 103-102 win to start the preseason on a good note. Terance Mann led the efforts of the Clippers with 14 points while Michael Porter Jr. posted a game-high of 23 points, 7 rebounds for the Nuggets.
