The Dallas Mavericks had a double-digit lead at halftime (62-50) but the Brooklyn Nets bounced back after the break and grabbed a close 102-99 road win.
Kevin Durant was the leading scorer for the Nets with 24 points including the final basket of the game while James Harden flirted with a triple-double by posting 23 points, nine rebounds, 12 assists. Patty Mills scored ten for the victors and banked in the go-ahead three around the three-minute mark.
For Dallas, which missed multiple opportunities in crunch time, Luka Doncic had 28 points, nine assists, six rebounds but couldn’t force the game into overtime as his signature step-back three fell short. Kristaps Porzingis had 17 points, 12 boards, five assists.
Meanwhile, the LA Lakers got the better of the Boston Celtics with 117-102 on the scoreboard, led by LeBron James who scored 30 points while Russel Westbrook followed with 24 points, 11 assists.
Anthony Davis had 17 points, 16 boards. For Boston, Jayson Tatum dropped game-high 34 points along with eight boards while Dennis Schroder scored ten.
Lastly, the New York Knicks logged a 121-109 road win against the San Antonio Spurs with RJ Barrett leading the charge. He scored 32 points while Dejonte Murray answered for the losing side with 26.
Jakob Poeltl had 13 points, eight boards, five assists for the Spurs while Evan Fournier scored seven points for the winning team.
