Blazers guard CJ McCollum has been diagnosed with a collapsed right lung and will be sidelined indefinitely, the team announced.
McCollum was injured in the fourth quarter of the Blazers’ 145-117 loss to the Boston Celtics. He was listed as probable with a rib contusion but didn’t play against the LA Clippers but did not play in another loss for Portland.
In 24 games this season (all starts), McCollum has averaged 20.6 points (42.4% FG, 39.3% 3-PT, 70.0% FT), 4.1 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 1.08 steals and 35.3 minutes.
Portland has already been in injury trouble as Damian Lillard has missed four games with lower abdominal tendinopathy while backup point guard Anfernee Simons is out with a right ankle sprain and forward Nassir Little has missed four games with a left ankle sprain.
Ben McLemore left the game against the Clippers with a bruised hip and Cody Zeller has a bruised right quad.
