Los Angeles Lakers‘ LeBron James and Indiana Pacers‘ Domantas Sabonis have been named the NBA Players of the Week.
LeBron powered the Lakers to a 2-1 week. James scored 30 or more points in two of three games and averaged 26.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 8.5 assists and 3.5 steals, including two triple-doubles. The Lakers (15-13) are the No. 6 seed in the West standings.
Sabonis led the Pacers to 2-0. Sabonis had a double-double in both of Indiana’s wins and averaged 25.4 points, 10.5 rebounds and 6.0 assists while shooting 75% from the field. The Pacers (12-16) are the No. 13 seed in the West standings.
This is the second time Sabonis has been named the MVP of the Week. His father Arvydas Sabonis earned the award once back in March 1996.
