Two European prospects faced off in the NBA as Alperen Sengun and the Houston Rockets got a 116-107 road win over Killa Hayes and the Detroit Pistons.
Sengun had a solid all-around performance with nine points, five rebounds, and four assists while Christian Wood banked in 21 points (eight boards) and Eric Gordon scored 18.
Meanwhile, Hayes dished out ten assists, tying his season-high and stopping one dime shy of his career-best 11 assists from the previous season. Saddiq Bey drained game-high 23 points while Cade Cunnigham logged 21 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds.
With this win, the Rockets improved to 10-20, continuing their up-and-down form. On the other hand, the Pistons sit at the bottom of the league with 4-24 and are on a 14-game losing streak, tied for the worst in franchise history.
