Ricky Rubio was on the way to one of his best displays in the NBA but he couldn’t finish it off as an unfortunate knee injury occurred while he was driving to the basket with a bit over two minutes remaining in the game.
The Spanish point guard delivered 27 points, 13 rebounds, nine assists, two steals, and two blocks before he had to exit the court with the help of his teammates.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Rubio will get an MRI on his left knee Wednesday (December 29). There’s obvious concern on the possible severity of the injury. Rubio has been a huge part of the Cavs’ success story this season. The team is currently fifth in the East with a 20-14 record.
