Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant is arguably the frontrunners in the race for the 2022 NBA MVP. He’s averaging 29.7 points, 7.9 rebounds and 5.9 assists while the Nets are sitting on a league-best 23-9 record.
An argument could be made about Nikola Jokic, Steph Curry or LeBron James (despite the Los Angeles Lakers underperforming overall) but Durant is the MVP of the league for many, including one of his most prominent teammates.
“For sure,” Nets star Harden answered when asked if Durant is this season’s MVP by ESPN’s Malika Andrews. He had previously broken down how KD has evolved his game since the days the two played together on the Oklahoma City Thunder.
“He’s overly polished,” Harden said. “A natural talent who knows the spots he wants to get to. And he’s going to get there. It’s not on the defender. It’s on him whether he makes the shot or misses the shot.”

Harden himself has been having a strong season, averaging nearly a triple-double with 22.0 points, 9.8 assists and 8.0 rebounds. “I had to drop some pounds. Once I dropped some weight, I started feeling better, feel more explosive.”
