Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic will be clearing NBA’s health and safety protocols and likely rejoin his team in Oklahoma City for the game against the Thunder Sunday (1/10), per Marc Stein.
He will be joined by guard Tim Hardaway Jr. and forward Maxi Kleber who were also in the health and safety protocols for coronavirus.
After a sore ankle problem and then testing positive for COVID-19, Doncic missed ten games. The Mavericks went 5-5 without their top player and are expecting him back in the last station of a five-game road trip. After the game at Thunder, Dallas will be hosting the Denver Nuggets (4/1) and Golden State Warriors (6/1) at home.
On Friday (31/12), the Mavericks closed 2021 with a win over the Sacramento Kings behind Kristaps Porzingis’ 24 points.
Before he was sidelined, Doncic was averaging 25.6 points, 8.5 assists and 8.0 rebounds. The Mavericks are currently 17-18 and eighth in the Western Conference standings.
