On March 11, 2020, Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for coronavirus something that initiated NBA’s shutdown and and the suspension of the 2019-20 season before the re-launch in the Disney World bubble.
Almost two years later, Gobert tested positive for COVID-19 again, entering the health and safety protocols like numerous other NBA players before him this season so far. The whole league has been dealing with a coronavirus outbreak since December and a situation that has led to multiple game postponements and teams having to rely on 10-day contracts to keep their rosters manned.
Gobert is one of the two Jazz players currently in NBA’s health and safety protocols for COVID-19. The other is former EuroLeague champion Joe Ingles.
According to the Associated Press, Gobert had two rapid testes after feeling ill but both came back negative. The PCR results though returned a positive.
