Chicago Bulls guard Alex Caruso will miss six to eight weeks of action after suffering a fracture on his right wrist in Friday’s defeat against the Milwaukee Bucks for which he is set to undergo surgery early next week.
Caruso was injured when Bucks guard Grayson Allen fouled him hard in the third quarter. Allen was ejected after officials called him for a Flagrant 2 foul.
Following the game, Bulls head coach Billy Donovan commented harshly on Allen’s play: “[…] for Alex to be in the air like that and for him (Allen) to take him down like that. I mean, he could have ended his career”, said Donovan. “He has a history of this. It was really dangerous. And I hope the league takes a hard look at something like that because he could have really, seriously hurt him.”
Per the Bulls announcement:
“Chicago Bulls guard Alex Caruso sustained a fracture of his right wrist in last night’s game versus the Milwaukee Bucks. Caruso will undergo surgery early next week and be re-evaluated in 6-8 weeks.”
