Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson combined their forces to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 124-115 win against the Minnesota Timberwolves at home, their fourth in a row after a rough patch.
On the night of being named an All-Star for the eighth time in his career, Curry posted 29 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the Warriors, while Thompson followed with 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.
Andrew Wiggins contributed 11 points and Moses Moody tapped 11 coming from the bench, while big man Nemanja Bjelica picked up 5 points and 6 assists across 16 minutes.
Karl-Anthony Towns dropped a double-double with 31 points, 12 rebounds for the Timberwolves, though his efforts fell short. Anthony Edwards added 27 points and Jaden McDaniels had 14.
Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris combined 49 points (26 and 23 respectively), to lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a 105-87 triumph over the Los Angeles Lakers.
Embiid also added 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the Sixers, while Tyrese Maxey had a double-double with 14 points and 10 assists, as the team extended its winning streak to three games.
Without LeBron James on board, Anthony Davis led all scorers of the Lakers with a double-double of 31 points, 12 assists. Russell Westbrook tapped 20 points and Malik Monk was added to the list of top scorers with 11 points. The Lakers have now lost three of their last five games.
