Luka Doncic powered the Dallas Mavericks to a 132-105 victory over the Indiana Pacers at home to highlight NBA Saturday night action.
Doncic went off with a double-double of 30 points, 12 assists, along with 6 rebounds as the Mavs registered their second win in a row and tied the regular-season series against the Pacers.
Maxi Kleber was among the top contributors with a double-double of his own (15 points, 14 rebounds), while Kristaps Porzingis added five points prior to exiting early with knee soreness.
Domantas Sabonis was two assists shy of a triple-double in his second game upon his return, leading the Pacers with 21 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists. The Pacers have now lost four of their last five games.
Fred VanVleet called game for the Toronto Raptors in a spectacular contest against the Miami Heat that went down in triple overtime. VanVlet hit two three-pointers in the third OT for a total of 19 points to lift his team to a 124-120 win on the road.
Gary Trent Jr. paced understaffed Raptors with 33 points, Scottie Barnes followed with 22 points, Pascal Siakam added 21 points and 13 rebounds, and OG Anunoby had 20 points and 14 rebounds.
Jimmy Butler signed off with a triple-double of 37 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists, though his efforts fell short for the Heat. Gabe Vincent added 17 points and Bam Adebayo had 14 points and 16 rebounds.
The Golden State Warriors survived Kyrie Irving and the Brooklyn Nets with a 110-106 victory at home, their fifth in a row. Andrew Wiggins led the efforts of the Warriors with 24 points, Stephen Curry dropped 19 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds and Klay Thompson posted 16 points, including a big three-pointer with 12 seconds left in the game.
Irving led the Nets with 32 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists, Patty Mills posted 24 points and James Johnson added 14 coming off the bench, as the team suffered its fourth consecutive defeat.
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown combined 69 points to lift the Boston Celtics to a 107-97 triumph over the New Orleans Pelicans on the road to take a 2-0 lead in their regular-season series.
Tatum scored 38 points, along with 8 rebounds and 7 assists, while Brown added 31 points to help the Celtics bounce back.
Jose Alvarado led the efforts of the Pelicans with 19 points coming off the bench, Willy Hernangomez tapped 14 points, while Devonte Graham and Garrett Temple both added 12 points.
Joel Embiid dropped 36 points and the Philadelphia 76ers held on to beat the Sacramento Kings 103-101 at home. Tobias Harris added 16 points for the hosts, and Tyrese Maxey was clutch in the fourth quarter, adding 13 points and 7 assists.
Tyrese Haliburton posted a career-high with 38 points, 7 assists across 40 minutes on the court, Harrison Barnes tapped 16 points and Davion Mitchell had 15.
Ja Morant kept his hot streak alive for his sixth straight game with at least 30 points to help the Memphis Grizzlies overcome the Washington Wizards 115-95. Morant had 34 points in the win, followed by Desmond Bane who posted 19 points.
Kyle Kuzma dropped 30 points, 8 rebounds for the Wizards, Kentavius Caldwell-Pope added 15 points and Spencer Dinwiddie had 10 points.
