The LA Lakers lost to the rivaling LA Clippers in a close affair but that wasn’t the only concern coming out of the matchup as Carmelo Anthony suffered a strained right hamstring and had to exit the game.

Anthony got injured after a missed jump shot with under two minutes remaining in the first half and immediately asked for a substitute. He will be re-evaluated on February 4th.

The 37-year-old veteran scored seven points in the 11 minutes he played against the Clippers. Throughout the season, he’s been averaging 13.6 points and 4.2 rebounds in 27 minutes off the bench. Anthony played a total of 39 games this campaign including three starts.
