Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal will be operated on his left wrist and lose the rest of the 2021-22 season, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. It’s a big blow for both the player and the team that is currently 11th in the Eastern Conference standings with 24 – 29.
Beal suffered an injury on the scapholunate ligament of his left wrist in the third quarter during the Wizards‘ loss (115 – 95) to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday 29/1. The Wizards said that he will be re-evaluated in one week and now the news arrived that the three-time All-Star guard will have to undergo season-ending surgery.
Before he was hurt, Beal was leading the Wizards in scoring and assists with 23.2 points and 6.6 dimes in 35.8 minutes over 40 games.
