Memphis Grizzlies dominated the LA Clippers at home on Tuesday, though the game turned out to be eventful in the second half.
Late in the third quarter, Marcus Morris brushed Ja Morant’s face taking him down hard with a hard foul that turned into a flagrant foul 2, resulting in his ejection from the game.
Morris checked up on Morant immediately after, though it was a dangerous play from the Clippers’ forward. However, Morant’s reaction after the game hinted that he has no hard feelings towards Morris.
“All the guys had my back, pretty sure they know I would do the same for them,” Morant told reporters. “At the end of the day, regardless of the play, I’m not worried about it. I’m actually with the Morris brothers. I got up, I’ve been playing on concrete all my life.”
Morant, a first-time All-Star in 2022, exited the game with 30 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists for Memphis, while Morris scored points, along with 4 rebounds and 3 assists in 22 minutes prior to his ejection.
