Former NBA veteran and current Michigan Wolverines head coach Juwan Howard was the protagonist of a really ugly scene that took place in the finale of his team’s game vs. the Wisconsin Badgers.
After the match finished with a 77 – 63 win for the Badgers, Howard moved towards Wisconsin head coach Greg Gard and began to speak to him in what looked to be a quite aggressive manner. When other staff members approached the two head coaches, Howard struck Wisconsin Badgers assistant Joe Krabbenhoft and the situation completely erupted with a huge brawl between players of the two teams.
According to several reports, Howard was angry because Gard called a timeout with 15 seconds left to play. Gard said that he wanted to give his guys 10 extra seconds to test breaking full court press defense instead of four.
