Duncan Robinson had a new career-high in the playoffs with 27 points and 8/9 threes, Jimmy Butler added 22 points and the Heat beat 115-91 the Atlanta Hawks in Game 1 of their first-round playoffs series in the Eastern Conference.

Italian forward Danilo Gallinari started the game and ended up being the top scorer of the Hawks with 17 points while grabbing five rebounds. However, Miami dominated the game from start to finish, keeping Tray Young to eight points on 1/12 FG and Serb Bogdan Bogdanovic to six on 0/8 FG.

The Heat led even by 32 points, Young wasn’t used in the last period and French forward Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot added five points for the losing side. Turkish big man Omer Yurtseven scored five points in five minutes of action for the Heat when the game was already decided.

The Hawks missed Swiss center Clint Capela due to a knee injury sustained in the last play-in game against Cleveland. Capela is expected to also miss Game 2.
