Boston Celtics edged Brooklyn Nets in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference first round of the playoffs thanks to Jayson Tatum.
With a layup at the buzzer after a timely assist by Marcus Smart and a great spin move, Tatum gave the 115-114 win to Boston scoring 31 points in total.
It was a rare shot. To be exact it was the first game-winning buzzer-beater in the playoffs at home in Celtics history after 358 home games.
German big man Daniel Theis was a starter for the Celtics with four points and six rebounds, while for the losing side Slovenian guard Goran Dragic had 14 points.
However, it was Kyrie Irving’s night with 39 points, which in the end were not enough for the Nets. Kevin Durant added 23 and with 15 seconds left missed a crucial shot, giving to Boston the chance to win the game.
