Giannis Antetokounmpo with 27 points and 15 rebounds led Milwaukee to the 93-86 win over the Chicago Bulls in Game 1 of the first-round Eastern Conference playoffs match-up.

It wasn’t easy, as the Bulls came back from losing by 16 in the first half and led 78-77 entering the last five minutes of the game. Ultimately it was big plays by Jrue Holiday (15 p.) and Brook Lopez (18 p.) that saved the day.

The Greek Freak had also three assists and two blocks. He won the duel against Chicago’s Montenegrin big man Nikola Vucevic (24 p. 17 r.), while DeMar DeRozan and Zack LaVine added 18 points each for the losing side.

It was a low-scoring affair with the Bucks making just 10/38 threes and the Bulls having even worst numbers (7/39) in outside shooting.

As Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer admitted: “Sometimes, you gotta win ugly. It’s not always going to be pretty or perfect”.
