The offseason was pretty rough for Ben Simmons who eventually continued on to miss the whole 2021-22 regular season but he will make his debut this year after all. According to Shams Charania, he will join the Brooklyn Nets for Game 4 of the NBA playoffs against the Boston Celtics.
The three-time All-Star had a dispute with the Philadelphia 76ers early in the season and was sidelined which also led to a trade that sent him to the Brooklyn Nets and moved James Harden to the Sixers.
Simmons hasn’t played a game since June 2021 and he was officially listed as having back problems since his move to the Nets. Brooklyn has found itself down 0-2 to Boston in the first-round series but the home-court advantage switches to their favor for the upcoming two games.
In the 2020-21 season, he averaged 14.3 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 6.9 assists, however, the widespread opinion was that he underperformed in the playoffs with a special notice on his refusal to shoot from deep.
