Rudy Gobert allowed a slip-up in his post-game interview after the alley-oop game-winner in Game 4 against Dallas and that will cost him 25,000 dollars.
He was fined by the NBA for the use of profane language, more precisely the “fu-k the talk” he used in a sentence. Gobert was answering a question about the recent rumors that there were chemistry issues among the Jazz, especially between him and Donovan Mitchell.
The NBA has now doled out 11 fines this season for cursing/profanity for a total of $250,000 in fines after the Gobert case. There was only one such fine over the previous two seasons.
Per the NBA:
Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert has been fined $25,000 for using profane language during a live television interview, it was announced today by Byron Spruell, President, League Operations.
Gobert made his comments during an on-court interview at the conclusion of the Jazz’s 100-99 victory over the Dallas Mavericks in Game 4 of their first-round playoff series on April 23 at Vivint Arena.
