Promitheas Patras big man Georgios Tanoulis has declared for the 2022 NBA Draft, marking the sole Greek entry (so far).
2002-born Tanoulis made his professional debut with Greek side Promitheas in the 2020-21 season, while he has gained more minutes on the court in the 2021-22 campaign. Tanoulis has played in 11 Greek Basket League contests this season, averaging 3.6 points and 1.5 rebounds across 8.5 minutes on the court.
He also made his 7DAYS EuroCup debut in 2021-22, posting 3.9 points and 2.1 rebounds across 9 games prior to Promitheas’ elimination from the playoffs.
So far, a total of 283 players have declared for the 2022 NBA Draft, which will be held on Thursday, June 23 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. 247 of those are currently playing college basketball in the USA and the remaining 36 entries come from overseas players.
Serbian forward Nikola Jovic and German guard Justus Hollatz are among the top European players who have placed their names on the 2022 Draft list.
