Jaylen Brown recovered from a poor shooting night in Game 1 and helped the Boston Celtics grab a 109-86 victory over reigning champions Milwaukee Bucks at home in Game 2.
Brown scored 25 of his 30 points in the first half (11-of-18 FG), Jayson Tatum added 29 points and dished 8 assists and Grant Williams added 21 points coming from the bench, as the Celtics have now tied the series 1-1.
Boston got ahead 32-21 in the first quarter and never trailed to get a comfortable win in front of its home crowd.
Giannis Antetokounmpo posted 28 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the Bucks. Jrue Holiday followed with 19 points, 7 assists and 2 steals, while Bobby Portis and Pat Connaughton each scored 13 points.
Game 3 of the semifinal series is underway Saturday, May 7 (21:30 CET) in Milwaukee.
Ja Morant tied his playoffs career-high with 47 points to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a 106-101 victory over the Golden State Warriors at home, to tie the Western Conference semifinals series at 1 piece. With this performance, Morant became just the third player in NBA history to score 45-pieces in multiple postseason games (via ESPN Stats & Info).
Ziaire Williams added 14 points and 5 rebounds for Memphis, Jaren Jackson scored 12 and Brandon Clarke had 10 points.
On the opposing end, Stephen Curry had 27 points to lead the way for the Warriors on 11-of-25 shooting, Jordan Poole added 20 points and Andrew Wiggins posted 16 points and 9 rebounds.
The series travels back to Golden State Sunday, May 8 (02:30 CET) for Game 3.
