Both the Miami Heat and the Phoenix Suns logged convincing wins in Game 2 of the NBA second-round series against the Philadelphia 76ers and the Dallas Mavericks, doubling up their leads to 2-0.
Phoenix had an upper hand throughout most of the game but the crucial run that decided the outcome happened in the fourth quarter when the Suns scored 11 straight points to make some distance.
Devin Booker led the victors with 30 points while Chris Paul was right behind with 28 points and eight assists. Jae Crowder scored 15 and Mikal Bridges 11 points.
Once again, Luka Doncic was the top scorer on the floor with 35 points while also adding seven assists, five rebounds. However, he again seemed to be alone as nobody could get it going aside from Reggie Bullock who had 16 points.
Meanwhile, the Embiid-less Sixers just couldn’t match up to Miami and the Heat got a 119-103 win.
Bam Adebayo and Jimmy Butler stepped up with 23 and 22 points while also grabbing nine rebounds and dishing 12 assists respectively. Victor Oladipo had a strong impact as well with 19 points, as did Tyler Herro with 18.
Tyrese Maxey was on fire for Philadelphia with 34 points while Tobias Harris scored 21 and James Harden stopped at 20 points despite a fairly strong start to the game. Harden also dished nine assists.
