The Memphis Grizzlies started Game 3 leading by 13, but they ended up losing by 30, as the Golden State Warriors prevailed 142-112 in the Western Conference semifinals getting a 2-1 lead in the series.
Six players from the winning side scored in double digits with Steph Curry dropping 30 points and Jordan Poole adding 27.
However, the story of the game ended up being Ja Morant and his knee. The explosive start of Memphis had 34 points and 7 assist before living the game limping during the last quarter after being hurt on the right knee.
Memphis coach Taylor Jenkins said after the game that he looked at the replay of the play where Morant got hurt and “it looked like Jordan Poole grabbed his knee and yanked it.”
Even with the Grizzlies star point guard on the court, the Warriors led by 23, but now the question is if this injury can prevent Morant from playing in Game 4. If that’s the case, then the Warriors are the heavy favorite to make it to the Western Conference Finals.
After all, they prevailed with ease, putting on a defensive clinic and finished the game shooting 63% from the field.
