Bucks’ Middleton out for Game 7 despite optimistic predictions

There were hopes that the Milwaukee Bucks could see All-Star guard Khris Middleton returning to action in the upcoming Game 7 against the Boston Celtics but it seems that the player’s comeback won’t be happening anytime soon.

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst said that he was getting positive signals that maybe  Middleton would be available for the Bucks in this elimination battle before a complete turn of events. Here’s what he mentioned on the matter: “Earlier this week, the folks I was talking to were giving me some optimism about Middleton playing this weekend, but that has not happened. That has not developed. And now I would say there’s pessimism about Sunday, and frankly, I have been told that even if the Bucks advance to the conference finals, there’d be pessimism he’d be ready to start.”

Middleton last played in Game 2 against the Chicago Bulls and has been out ever since after suffering a sprain in his left knee. The Bucks have survived, so far, in his absence mainly thanks to Giannis Antetokounmpo putting on some outstanding performances vs. the Celtics with 35.3 points, 13.8 rebounds and 6.8 assists.
