Chinanu Onuaku is enjoying a breakout season on every level. After beating local powerhouse Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Israeli league, he was named MVP of the season and he has already a date with the Celtics.
The Cavs are interested in him, but the Bnei Herzliya star center is expected in Boston for a workout at the end of June.
The possible dates for his visit to the home of the NBA finalists are the 27 and the 28 of June. Meanwhile, there’s solid interest for him in the EuroLeague with Maccabi Tel Aviv of course being one of the teams in the mix.
For sure, Onuaku has a number of options this summer and the 37th pick of the 2016 draft has the chance for an NBA comeback.
Of course, before that, he will have the chance to win the Israeli league title in the finals against Hapoel Holon, which starts on Monday, the 6th of June.
So far, Onuaku has been averaging 15.6 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.3 blocks over 29 games.
