ASVEL guard Matthew Strazel and Valencia big Jaime Pradilla are among the 22 international players and 24 early-entry candidates which have withdrawn their names from consideration for this year’s NBA draft.
Strazel, 19, wrapped up his EuroLeague season with ASVEL with an average of 3.4 points and 1.9 assists in 15:16 minutes across 30 games. ASVEL is currently fighting in the French League finals against AS Monaco, with Game 2 underway Friday, June 17.
Pradilla, 21, ended this season with Valencia with an average of 7.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game across 34 Spanish Liga Endesa contests. He was also a major contributor in Valencia’s EuroCup run this year, averaging 8.7 points and 4 rebounds across 20 games, as the team reached the competition’s semifinals.
Per the NBA’s announcement, two more players from colleges and other educational institutions who had previously declared have withdrawn their names from consideration, in addition to the 111 college players who had previously withdrawn. There are 14 international talents and 135 college players who are still eligible as early-entry candidates.
